playoffs!

not much suspense this game...it was pretty much decided in the first 5 minutes...so the 4th grade boys won their game yesterday and so the girls will be cheering for them in the playoffs this saturday!

not only are the boys fun to watch, the coaching staff is amazing. they included the girls in the Division Champs Ring Ceremony! it was great of them to do that and the girls were thrilled, too!

fourth grade!

phew! the season is half over and i haven't even posted about it yet. the girls are doing a fantastic job cheering this year and i'm working on getting them to pay attention to what's going on on the field so they can select cheers that "match."

this season we have the same uniforms but have added pompoms and mighty fancy hair bows. now that all the grades have the same bows, though, it's hard for me to pick the 4th graders out in a sea of spartan cheerleaders! the pompoms are still pretty new but the team seems to enjoy using them for at least part of the time. they do sparkle in the sun and make plenty of noise so that's good. this week we got all the pieces done for the homecoming float. thanks to mom melissa and mom kelly, the whole project went super smooth and the girls had a blast. the parade is tomorrow night and the theme is Super Heroes. i'm sure they'll have fun riding and waving and making some noise!

sweet, cute and LOUD!

movie event

thanks to the generosity of the 3rd grade football coaches, we were invited to a private screening of The Bee Movie at the By-Jo on Sunday. all our girls even received $2 coupons for the snack bar! the cutest part was when the boys went to the back of the theater to set up a "run through" line for the girls to pass through. i have a feeling neither the girls nor the boys enjoyed it nearly as much as the parents. but it was really cool of the coach to make them feel part of "the team."
